hi there all i am thinking of upgrading to windows 7 do not know what version to go 32 bit or 64 bit and home or pro version retail or oem. intel core 2 Quad 6600 4gb kingtown 1066 ddr2 P5Q pro turbo m/b 2 x 150 w/d raptors h/d going to go duel boot ?xp or vista or a raid ?? if i get 64 i can only run 64 bit on the new windows 7 cannot run 32 and 64 together please help what do you think will be best for gaming [ Edited Mon Oct 26 2009, 09:32AM ] ![]() |

I would always say 64 bit but it dependes on drivers - you need to check availability. As for home or pro version the home version will do nicely as the pro has stuff you will never use and is mainly for business networks etc. OK now the biggy retail or OEM - you can buy the OEM but if it goes wrong somewhere down the line and you have to reinstall you will have to ring Microsoft to get the key reactivated. Because you are not a manufacturer they wont do it then your fucked!

i am running windows 7 home premium 64-bit on my laptop to which the link directs you and shows the specs, it runs sweet and i have no problems with it at all, i recommend this above VISTA as VISTA is pile of johnmajor( charles bronson look-a-like ) poo. Click Me ![]() |
